Waterfalls, are natural wonders on earth definitely. Apart from spectacular views the sound of the cascading stream, dripping and gurgling sounds are a retreat to both eyes and ears.

1. Iguazu Falls, Argentina

One of the world’s largest waterfalls, lies on Iguazu river. It is located near the border of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.Surrounded by subtropical rain forests on both sides, it hosts numerous rare species of flora and fauna.

2. Victoria Falls, Zambia

One of the most spectacular waterfalls lies between Zambia and Zimbabwe. During rainy season the water shoots incredible amount of spray about 1000 feet into the sky and can be seen about 30 miles away.

3. Yosemite Falls, USA

Located in Yosemite National Park, it is the tallest waterfalls in California.The waterfall is in its peak when the snow melts during warmer spring and early summer. The waterfalls has three stages Upper Fall which is of 1430 ft, Middle Cascades, which is of 675 ft and the final is Lower Fall, which is of 320 ft. Thus making a cumulative drop of 2425 ft.

4. Dudhsagar, India

Dudh Sagar one of the highest waterfalls in India, is located between Goa and Karnataka border. Dudh Sagar meaning Sea of Milk in Konkanni language.During the peak monsoon season from June to September, it appears like milk flowing from the height of 603 ft.

5. Niagara Falls, Canada-USA

One of the most identified and majestic waterfalls flows between the international border of USA and Canada. With 3950 ft wide, it flows with the largest volume of water in three parts American Falls on American Side, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls on Canadian, Falls.

6.Angel Waterfalls, Venezula

Angel Falls located in Venezuela, is the highest uniterrupted waterfalls in the world. The waterfall is known to be named after Jimmie Angel, a US aviator was the first person to fly over the falls.

7. Detian Falls, China

Deitian Waterfall is the fourth largest transnational waterfall shared by both China and Vietnam. The waterfall has two parts Detian Waterfall on Chinese side and Banyue Waterfall on the Vietamese side. Surrounded by picturesque karst peaks, it rushes down a three tiered cliff. June and July is the best time of the year when the river is dramatically rapid.

8. Kaieteur Falls, Guyana

Kaieteur Falls is located on the Potaro River in central Guyana. Kaieteur Falls is five times higher than the Niagara Falls and about two times higher than Victoria Falls in Africa. Its thunder can be heard miles before the visitor glimpse its majestic cascade. Undoubtedly i is the crown jewel of Guyana.

9. Baatara Gorge Waterfall, Lebanon

The Baatara Gorge Waterfall is located in the village of Balaa between the ebanese cities Laqlouq and Tannourine. The waterfalls is visible during the ice melting months of March and April of Mount Lebanon . The spectacular thing aout the waterfalls is the three natural bridge formation which hangs on one above the other. Behind these bridges the waterfall cascades down.

10. Langfoss, Norway

Langfoss located in Akrafjorden is voted to be the one of the most beautiful waterfalls. Langfoss slips down the cliff instead of falling straight maintaining contact with rocks on the way down. During summer the mountain side turns green making the scene even more striking with bright green background.
